In the piece the traditional lotus flower rising from the mud has been reimagined as the black Bird of Paradise , opening to reveal the serenity of its white petals.
in the lower right hand corner man is still emerging from his/her primal self …still in darkness . However the painting points to the potential for self awareness .

they allow us to look in from the periphery and out from the core. Spirals mark the beginning of something new with goals and finish lines yet unseen… However there is excitement of the journey that has just begun.
when pulled by the tail end with intention spirals rise up like a serpent from her murky waters.
this painting KUNDA uncoils the powerful serpent kundalini. Unraveling, rising… She is a reminder that we are often pulled in different directions and towards varying possibilities, but there is tremendous potential for growth when we settle on a singularity.
